Hello!
I wasnโt sure if I should write a newsletter this week since itโs Thanksgiving, but I thought I could share just a few ideas for the big dinner if you need a little inspiration. A big meal like this isnโt my specialty but I have a few suggestions for complements to your dinner. The point of the Thanksgiving meal is tradition and your familyโs traditional foods are going to taste the best but sometimes itโs fun to add something to your repertoire and keep it fresh so here are a few ideas.
My sister introduced me to this last year and I love it. Itโs so delicious, spicy and a little different from the way we usually eat cranberries.
Itโs fun to serve this with garlic herb Boursin cheese instead of plain cream cheese. I usually leave out the basil since it isnโt in season.
I know that most people have green bean casserole for Thanksgiving, but I love crunchy and spicy green beans as a counterpart to the rest of the dinner that has more creamy and buttery flavors.
We started to have this at our Thanksgiving table maybe 10 years ago and never looked back. Itโs great for a vegetarian crowd but the meat eaters also love it.
This is a fun little drink for Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years. I made it last year and would make myself a merry mocktail every day around 5 pm. I like that this isnโt too sweet and feels a little special.
Cause youโre going to have leftovers and this is an easy way to use them!
Have a wonderful holiday and I hope you eat a lot of pie.
Emily
